Bruce S. Feifer was born and raised in central New Jersey -- twenty-five miles outside of New York City. In 1987, he graduated from Boston University cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Psychology. While at B.U., Bruce was a member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society and acted as an Advertising Director for the university's yearbook, The Bostonian.

Upon Graduation, he relocated to South Florida and attended law school at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. The University of Miami conferred Juris Doctorate upon him in May 1990. Some of his academic memberships and honors include Dean's List -- 1989, 1990, Student Advisor, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Additionally, while attending law school, Bruce acted as a Guardian Ad Litem for displaced children and clerked with the Legal Aid Society of Miami.

Upon graduating from the University of Miami in 1990, Bruce relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida and joined the law firm of Hampp, Schneikart & James, P.A. There, Bruce became immersed in a high volume Workers' Compensation defense practice representing clients throughout the southwestern corridor of Florida. In July 1992, Bruce relocated back to South Florida and settled down in Palm City. There he commenced work at the Law Offices of Stephen M. Lewen, a practice exclusively handling Workers' Compensation and Social Security disability matters. During his tenure, Bruce headed the firm's Workers' Compensation department.

Following the 1994 revision of the Workers' Compensation statutes, Bruce recognized the integral part of the Social Security disability laws had upon the practice of Workers' Compensation and the prosecution of permanent total disability claims. Bruce has a strong knowledge of the Social Security Administration Codes and has appeared before Administrative Law Judges in Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Orlando on SSD and SSI matters. In 1995, the firm was renamed Lewen & Feifer, and Bruce appeared as a panel member on the live call-in show "Legal Line" wherein he responded to inquiries related to Workers' Compensation and Social Security disability law.

His memberships include the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, and both Martin County and Palm Beach County Bar Associations.
